The Dardick Family Infusion Therapy Center
Our Infusion Center provides short and long-term infusion therapy to patients in a relaxed, comfortable setting. The Infusion Center is designed to provide therapy to patients who do not require hospitalization, who may not qualify for home care services, or who just prefer the ease and convenience
of the Center.
Specialized Breast Cancer Care
The David C. Pratt Cancer Center at St. John’s Mercy Hospital offers the latest diagnostic tools for breast cancer including:
- Digital mammography – This type of mammography has proven more accurate for detecting breast cancer in woman under age 50.
- Ultrasound-guided core biopsies – Ultrasound guides physicians as they obtain multiple tissue samples with just one needle insertion.
- Wire localizations – With local anesthesia and ultrasound, radiologists place a wire into the suspicious area. Surgeons then perform the biopsy using the wire as a guide.
Our breast cancer care includes the support of a breast health nurse navigator, a registered nurse who assists patients each step of the way as they make decisions about treatment options and referrals.
Expert Physicians
Our physician team consists of oncologists, radiologists, including dedicated breast radiologists, and surgeons who work together to provide cancer patients with the best possible care. Our surgeons have pledged to see, within 48 hours, anyone who has an abnormal result. When a hospital stay is necessary, our four full-time hospitalists work with patient’s primary care doctors to monitor patient’s hospital stays. Our Intensive Care Unit has an intensivist who specializes in caring for critically ill patients.
