Former cancer patients tell their stories

    I had a Brain tumor...now I don't.

"When I was 5 years old I was tired and sick all the time, then I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I had chemotherapy … I even had a big backpack full of saline … it was called the "big chemotherapy."

I felt really good while they were doing the treatment. Jill helped me through a lot of stuff. I would play with her before my treatments and afterwards she would pick out a toy for me. They did a lot of stuff for me.

When I was 5, I had a brain tumor. Now I'm cancer-free. You'd never know that I had cancer."
-- Danielle

My son had cancer...now he doesn't.

"Hunter was 15 months old when he was diagnosed with cancer. Three days after they found it, we went to surgery … he had four surgeries in the first year of going through his chemotherapy. I didn't know if he would make it to kindergarten.

He has been cancer-free and out of chemotherapy for 3 years. Now my son is a perfectly healthy and normal 5 year old and his cancer is a distant memory."
-- Lori (Hunter's Mom)
