One of the greatest benefits of being treated at the David C. Pratt Cancer Center is the community of support that surrounds patients and their families. Support is vital to the healing process for anyone with cancer. We offer one-on-one counseling with a nurse, social worker or clergy member; support groups for adults and children; and peer support for patients, families and friends. Check our Programs & Events calendar for upcoming support group meetings. For more information on support groups, simply call our Cancer Answer Line at 314-251-6400.
Prevention, Education and Community Outreach
Through risk assessments, screenings, community education and other resources, we are helping to better the health of our community. The St. John's Mercy speakers bureau brings educational programs to social and civic groups, community organizations, churches, schools, and businesses. Through our efforts, we hope to educate the community about the need for cancer prevention and early detection, which helps save lives. For more information, visit our Cancer Information Center site.
